Voting Power
When we vote, we show our power.
Our votes are a direct representation of our voice. We work to build and educate a powerful immigrant voter base by registering and mobilizing people like us to vote.
We meet voters where they’re at, having deep conversations about the issues that matter most. We provide information about pro-immigrant candidates who will govern with us to advance our values and priorities and invite our communities to use the power of our vote. Our voter contact program of immigrants talking to immigrants is proven to increase voter turnout by 7%.

Current Work
How to Vote
Voting is a critical way to create the world we want to see and ensure our voices are heard. We help support immigrants in knowing if they are eligible to vote and how to vote.
New American Voters
Newly naturalized citizens have the power to shape electoral outcomes across the country, including in Washington. Via our sister organization, OneAmerica, we provide free citizenship services and then we support New Americans to register to vote to make their voices heard.
Protecting Voting Rights
We work to protect our right to vote by undoing racist voting systems. Immigrant leaders in elected office and in our base passed the Washington Voting Rights Act – our tool to challenge unfair election systems and replace them with fair election rules that ensure our votes count.
“I learned that the only way to make sure others don’t experience what I did was to organize! I started knocking on doors because I knew this wasn’t right. I knew that each conversation made a difference and I needed to encourage voters to exercise their right to vote, and educate them on the solutions our immigrant communities need. I have knocked on thousands of doors with OneAmerica Votes. I know that my conversations have led to the election of people who represent me and my experiences.”
