We believe that immigrants in the criminal justice system should be treated the same as non-immigrants. We believe in due process. We believe that communities are strongest and safest when everyone looks out for one another and nobody’s afraid to call the police when something’s wrong. We believe that our current system of collaboration between Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and local jails is counterproductive and dangerous. Let’s fix it—together.
