OneAmerica Votes advocates for policies and works to elect candidates that promote democracy and justice in immigrant communities at the local, state and federal levels.
Principles
- OneAmerica Votes involves immigrant* communities in public policy issues and advocacy and engages immigrant communities in the electoral process
- OneAmerica Votes recruits, trains and develops immigrant candidates to run for office and supports the election of qualified candidates with immigrant backgrounds and/or a demonstrated commitment to immigrant communities and pro-immigrant policy positions
- OneAmerica Votes provides immigrant voters with access to information about the policy positions of elected officials and candidates and the impact of those positions and other policy proposals on their communities
- OneAmerica Votes makes endorsements with the goal of increasing the power and voice of immigrant communities in government
- OneAmerica Votes holds elected officials and candidates in Washington State accountable for their positions on issues that impact immigrant communities
